Sweet New Restaurant in Howth

Today Katie and I went to try out a new cafe that opened up in Howth. A welcome change from Beshoffs, don't get me wrong I LOVE Beshoffs but I have it too much now, so I was delighted when Katie told me about this new place called The Dog House Blues Tea Room. Its a sweet little cafe just beside the train station. It has a really nice old vintage feel to it, with its mismatched chairs and old trinkets lying around. They sell coffee, paninii's, stew, soup and sweet cakes. Me and Katie got the chicken soup it was amazing and came with lovely brown bread. And of course we got desert cause we're pigs like that. I got a caramel slice and Katie got a massive muffin. The food was whopper, and they kept playing Take my Breath Away from Topgun, so you should all try it out sometime!

Jennifer's Directorial Debut on Foreign Cities

Recently my friend Jennifer has asked me to help her in the making of her first music video for the Australian artist James Cooper. James is a songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He released his first album ‘Second Season’ in 2005 and co-wrote the ARIA top 10 Australian hit ’Beautiful As You’ for much loved Aussie band The Whitlams in 2006.
So he's kinda a big deal!

James Cooper

James is currently collaborating with 10 directors and film-based creatives (mostly Irish) creating the Foreign Cities Music Films Project. The concept behind these films are 10 music films of any nature using the songs James has written and produced as either the audio bed on which the director will tell their story or use the song in a more traditional way for a promo style film. It’s all up to the director to make their choice and go their own route.

So we started filming the video last Saturday with our beautiful models Aine, Amy and producer Declan! We got an absolutely beautiful day for the filming, thank god because we needed it for the video concept. Jennifer got stuck into her role as the director and the day ran smoothly, we even got a lovely sunset!
Day two of shooting we weren't quite so lucky with the weather it was quite a cold blustery day but at least the rain held off and our models were fantastic and braved the cold weather in the dresses! The rain held off right until after the last shot of the day which was great.

Hosts For The Love Of (Ivor & Shane). 20 free vinyls for first 20 in the door. €10 door. Its going to be a really sweet evening! So come along and support Jennifer and check out all the creative new videos for James Cooper's new album.
