Boojum eat your heart out

I recently went to Boojum last week for the first time, and quite enjoyed it, don't bait me or anything but I didn't LOVE it or get what the hype was really about. So I decided to make my own home made burritos and see if I liked them better so here goes

For le salsa you will need
Oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Half a jar of jalapenos
Canned  tomatoes
Handful of Cherry tomatoes
Tomato paste
Half a large onion
6 cloves of garlic

For le chilli you will need
2 pound of mince
Half a large onion
1 can of kidney beans
1 clove of garlic
Chilli con carne powder

For serving you will need rice, lime, grated cheese, tortillas and whatever else you want to put in your burrito

Salsa
Step 1. Finely chop garlic, onions and cherry tomatoes, then place them into a pot with a drizzle of oil  and saute until soft
Step 2. Next add the canned tomatoes , tomato paste and jalapenos and stir
Step 3. Let simmer for 20mins

Chilli
Step 1. Chop onion and garlic and place into a large pot with oil and mince
Step 2. Cook until brown, then drain the access juice
Step 3. Add chilli con carne mix and stir well
Step 4. Add the canned tomato and cook for 15mins
Step 5. Add in the kidney beans just before serving

Serve with tortillas, I stuffed mine with rice, a squeeze of lime, cheese and salsa of course!

Pictures to come, after this food baby goes and I find the camera lead
Also it was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY nicer than Boojum

Lady Boulevard

Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to Miss Lady Boulevard, my new baby!! Me and Collie went bike shopping yesterday in Swords retail park. They have two really good bike shops out there, Halfords and Eurocycles. Halfords is good has some sweet bikes, but they weren't for me! Collie got his bike there, obvo not as sweet as my one. After Halfords we went to Eurocycles where I fell in love with this bad boy, I got to test ride some bikes but this one was the best, eurocycles were real good and really helpful, they even talked Collie out of getting one of their bikes, because they didn't think it was what he was looking for sound blokes altogether! Also when I was out testing this bike I checked myself out in the reflection of one of the windows (as you do, like ya need to see how ya look on the bike) on my way cycling back I spot Collie breaking his heart laughing at me, caught rapid checking myself out scarlet!
I'm in love!!! Thank you Eurocycles!!

1 minced clove of garlic
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
 2 teaspoons butter
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 large clove of garlic
3 tablespoons lime juice

1. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, cayenne, minced garlic, thyme and parsley. Sprinkle spice mixture generously on both sides of chicken breasts.
2. Heat butter, olive oil and garlic in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Saute chicken until golden brown, about 6 minutes on each side.  Then pour the lime juice over the chicken and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently to coat evenly with sauce.

Nothing like some bike shopping to make you crave meatballs

For the meatballs you will need
1 pound of mince
half a large onion
1 clove of garlic
1 green pepper
1 egg
pinch of salt
black pepper
mixed herbs
bread crumbs
1. Dice the onion, green pepper and garlic and put them in a bowl
2. If you don't have bread crumbs (just like I realised after starting) grate a slice of bread, or if you have bread crumbs a good handful will do, then add them to the bowl

3. Mix in a pinch of salt, black pepper and mixed herbs
4. Add the mince into the mixture
5. Then crack the egg on top and mix with your hands
You should end up with something like this
Next make small balls out of the mixture
like these
Then dry your eyes because if your onions were in anyway close to how strong mine were, you will be in tears
Then pop them in the oven for 40mins
Next while your waiting for the meatballs to cook, start the sauce cause your real good at multi tasking!

For le sauce you will need
Half a large onion
drizzel of olive oil
1 glove of garlic
Oregano
2 cans of tinned tomatos
1 heaped table spoon of tomato pesto

1. chop up the onion and garlic
2. place onion and garlic into a pot with the oil and cook until soft
3. add in the 2 cans of tomatos and oregano
4. simmer for 30mins
5. put your pasta on
5. get blending
Now because your such a good cook, everything should be ready for serving
TADA!!!!
Great success!!!!!!!!!!!

New Years Resolutions(Pt2)

Right round two of resolutions and one step closer to an improved Patsy!
Number 3 here we go.. so last year I did a fashion buying and merchandising course in Portobello and I really enjoyed it, studying one of my interests and being creative, making mood boards etc, so my 3rd resolution is to continue on with my mood boards and build up a portfolio.
So hopefully one day I will be unst fashionista like Bruno
My fourth resolution is to explore Ireland a bit more, with everyone leaving and all the doom and gloom at the moment I'm going to explore different ongoings in Dublin and part take in some events, to try and discover the more positive sides that Ireland has to offer at the monent

New Years Resolutions, the good, the bad, and the ugly (Pt1)

Right I know I'm a tad late with putting up my resolutions, but here goes....
number one, the one that everyone is currently doing including myself
Getting in shape
Well I obvo don't wanna get this buff! As of last week I've started my health kick which includes pilates of a Wednesday(second beginners class is tonight), cycling, rollerblading and hopefully I'll satrt running soon, but so far I've been too lazy in the mornings!
I've also been eating a bit healthier, making healthier dinners, trying not to get takeaways and staying away from chocolate!
Hopefully this will be me soon, having a good laugh with a bitta salad, loving life and being healthy

Thats enough of the health kick, second resolution is this blog, get a bit more creative you know(I mean there is a credit crunch on!) I wanna start being more creative, start knitting, making things, I may even have a crafts day with my mates who knows! I'm always reading blogs and saving pictures saying to myself I must make these sweet things, but I never do so this blog is my kick up the arse to start getting creative!
This guy knows!
